One killed, three injured in robbery bids

Injured shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre

KARACHI:

A man was shot dead while three others were injured during separate robbery attempts in the city on Tuesday night. Two men were shot and injured by robbers near Al Asif Square in Sohrab Goth, for resisting a mugging bid. According to East SSP Sajid Sadozai, Sindh Revenue Board assistant commissioner Nisar Ahmed Mari, 28, and his relative, Mukhtar Ahmed, 18, were getting a punctured tyre fixed at a petrol pump when the robbers tried to loot them and shot them for offering resistance. Both the injured were rushed to a private hospital in Gulshan-e-Iqbal where the doctors declared Mukhtar dead. Meanwhile, two others were shot and injured in Landhi. The injured, identified as Amir and Zaheer, were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
