PRCS urged to enhance outreach

PRCS Chairman says PRCS had supported some 10,000 thousand families

ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) was on Tuesday asked to further increase its outreach and provide medical help to people most affected by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). This was stressed by President Dr Arif Alvi on Tuesday during a meeting with a high-level delegation of the PRCS at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. During the meeting, PRCS Chairman and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Abrarul Haq highlighted the steps taken by his organization to provide food and health services to families affected by Covid-19. He said that PRCS had supported some 10,000 thousand families by providing them with Rs16,000 in cash for each family. “Similarly, food rations have been distributed amongst thousands of families, besides providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to doctors and nurses,” he added.
