A police constable was killed in a firing incident in Mela police limits on Monday. According to police officials, Constable Muhammad Hussain along with Constable Muhammad Bilal, was patrolling on a motorcycle when they stopped two armed suspects also riding a motorcycle.
However, the accused opened fire on the constables. Consequently, Hussain sustained serious bullet injuries and was killed on the spot.
The body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy.
