Martyrdom anniversary of Kargil War heroes to be observed on Tuesday

The 21st martyrdom anniversary of Kargil War heroes Captain Karnal Sher Khan and Havaldar Lalak Jan will be observed tomorrow on (Tuesday) at their native villages.

The wreath laying ceremony of Sher Khan and Lalak Jan will be held in Nawaz Killi, an area near Khyber-Paktunkhwa's Swabi district and in Ghizer, an area of Gilgit-Baltistan, respectively.

The ceremonies will be held to pay respects and homage to martyrs who rendered their lives defending and safegauridng the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Both the army officials embraced martyrdom at Gultari sector along Line of Control (LoC) in 1999 during the Kargil conflict.
