‘Dil Bechara’ trailer revealed

Sushant Singh Rajput’s final bow to be doubly tearful

The trailer of Sushant Singh Rajput’s much awaited film Dil Bechara released on Monday, July 6.  Based on the best-selling novel The Fault in Our Stars, which also inspired a Hollywood film of the same name back in 2014, Dil Bechara is an ordinary love story with a tragic twist.

As shown in the trailer, the film revolvs around Manny and Kizie, played by Sushant and newcomer Sanjana Sanghi respectively. They play two cancer patients that befriend each other in a support group. The opening sees Kizie introducing herself as a recently diagnosed cancer patient.

It then goes on to Manny, a charming, full of life young lad who is a cancer surviour and changes Kizie's life for the better, adding colours to her dreams and showering her with a whole lot of love.

Throughout the trailer, the two character are seen talking about typical love stories to the audience, particularly about them ending with death. Kizzie’s illness is shown to be the main antagonist and obstacle in the love life of both characters. Manny is seen reciting the line, “We don't get to decide when to be born and when to die. But what we can decide is how to live our lives," which pretty much sums up the entire premise.

It is not yet known that to what degree the film would deviate from its Hollywood counterpart. But being Sushant’s last time on the silver screen, it is bound to tear up audiences upon its release.
