The police claimed to have arrested two smugglers and 35 others during separate operations in the city on Saturday. The Preedy police claimed to have arrested two smugglers and confiscated drugs from their possession while conducting an operation based on a tip-off. They added that the arrested suspects, Yasir and Nabi, were international drug smugglers, who had been arrested in Thailand for smuggling heroin capsules and had spent eight years in separate jails. Meanwhile, one of Karachi’s assistant commissioners, Anwar Panhwar, raided a restaurant at Super Highway with a police team and arrested 35 people, including the restaurant owner.
