Deputy Commissioner Quetta and Chairman District Price Control Committee Major (retd) Aurangzaib Badeni on Thursday chaired a meeting of the Price Control Committee to review the prices of edible items and ensure provision of facilities to the people in the area.
The deputy commissioner said a committee was made under the supervision of administration to visit various cattle markets, dairy farms, as well as shops in Quetta city and inform the management about the new prices of goods for fixing their rates in the next meeting.
The administration would take action against those profiteers on a daily basis in the area after fixing a new price list of edible items and cattle to decrease artificial inflation for the interest of poor people in the area, it was decided.
The DC stressed that all the associations will have to cooperate with the administration during operations in respective areas in order to provide maximum facilities to people regarding the prices of items.
