Four suspected robbers were arrested, while a police official was shot and injured during an encounter in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VIII on Tuesday.
A Sindh Police spokesperson revealed that police received a phone call on Madadgar-15 helpline regarding a burglary in a house in DHA phase VIII. Following this, Darakhshan and Madadgar-15 Police reached the house and encountered the robbers, who opened fire on them in an attempt to escape. As a result, an official, Ikramullah, was shot and injured.
The police, however, managed to encircle the robbers and arrested them while confiscating four TT pistols, motorcycles and other stolen items from their possession.
Police said that the suspects, Muhammad Imran, Mujahid Hussain, Muhammad Mushtaq and Muhammad Shahid, had confessed to their involvement in several robberies.
