Football: Tottenham set to swoop Diarra

LONDON: Tottenham Hotspur are set to unveil Real Madrid’s Lassana Diarra as their summer signing ahead of the clubs final pre-season game before the campaign at White Hart Lane. Diarra has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer and was left out of the squad for the sides US tour by manager Jose Mourinho. Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has also been linked with a move for the Real Madrid defensive midfielder during the course of the summer as a replacement for the retired Paul Shcoles.
