SIU nabs three suspects for murder, theft

KARACHI: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) police claimed on Thursday to have arrested three suspects from Korangi Industrial Area for involvement in murder and robbery.

SIU SSP Irfan Bahadur said the arrested suspects were identified as Mohammad Faisal alias Chitta, Mohammad Shakeel alias Kala and Muhammad Islam.

According to him, the suspects had confessed to killing Major Mushtaq during a robbery bid near Qayyumabad in January.

The police also recovered the weapon used in the murder following and it has been sent for forensic analysis.
