KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued on Monday production orders for notorious Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch, in a case pertaining to an attack on the police during the Lyari operation.

The Kalakot police sought the restoration of the case for hearing, as well as the issuance of production orders for Baloch. The court accepted the request and issued production orders for Baloch.

The gangster, arrested in 2016, had been handed over to the army and was convicted by a military court in April before being handed back to jail officials. He has been accused in over 54 cases pertaining to several murders, including those of law enforcement officials.
