Primary in the proposed amendments will be a reduced term for the board’s managing director. This decision was taken during the 10th board meeting of K-PTIB which was presided by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
During the meeting, Mahmood directed to formulate key performance indicators to evaluate the performance of K-PITB’s managing director (MD) and to work out modalities to reduce the officer’s tenure from five years to the minimum possible period.
Participants of the meeting also approved officials who will form a search and scrutiny committee. This committee will be tasked with appointing a new MD of the department.
It was further decided during the meeting that the human resources, finance, accounts and audit committees of the department will be reconstituted and further strengthened.
CM Mahmood said that achieving K-PITB’s targets and goals must be a priority. He directed to take necessary steps for further strengthening K-PTIB and realigning its working strategy with that of modern corporate governance.
The chief minister expressed displeasure over K-PTIB’s progress in this regard and directed the relevant officials to fulfil all required formalities.
