Five nabbed for 'water theft, drug peddling'

Meanwhile, two more suspects arrested and large amounts of gutka was seized from their possession

KARACHI: Mochko Police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested five persons, including one involved in water theft, and seized a water tanker, tools used for stealing water from pipelines and contraband from their possession.

According to the police, they arrested Gulab Sher, allegedly involved in stealing water from Karachi Water and Sewerage Board's pipelines and impounded a water tanker, bearing registration number TKA-939, found in his possession.

Separately, a police party flagged down a Suzuki car, bearing registration number ACM-145, and discovered 10 bags full of betel nuts upon searching the vehicle. Following this, they arrested the car's driver, identified as Asadullah.

Meanwhile, two more suspects, identified as Faisal Latif and Abdul Sattar, were arrested and large amounts of gutka was seized from their possession.
