The year 2020 is one that would not be easily forgotten, for all the wrong reasons. With wildfires, locust attacks, World War 3 teasers and global pandemic in full swing in just over six months, it should really come as a no brainer as to why the year has earned such a bad rep.
Among all the interesting analogies about the year, Indian television producer Ekta Kapoor perhaps came with the best one. In an Instagram post, Kapoor compared the year with one of the most hated characters to ever grace the Indian soap opera genre.
"If 2020 was a person, it would be Komolika," she said.
Komolika was the villainous vamp in the TV serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay. In the original show and the subsequent remake, Komolika was notorious for not forgiving her enemies.
Soon several figures of Indian TV industry flooded the comment section with many agreeing and laughing at Kapoor's comparison. Actor Anjum Farikh disagreed and instead said that Ramola Sikand the antagonist from Kahin Kisi Roz was a more apt comparison.
