When UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov visited the sets of 'Diriliş: Ertuğrul'

The UFC champion had made the visit immediately after1 defeating Conner McGregor

Reigning UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has never been the one to shy away from embracing his Islamic heritage. Hailing from the Muslim majority Dagestan region in Russia, Khabib with his mannerisms and constant odes to his religious beliefs in interviews has made him a popular figure in the Islamic countries.

With Turkey, the UFC fighter has developed a strong bond of sort over the years especially during and after his feud with Conner McGregor whom he defeated to become the first Muslim to hold the title.

Last year a video of the champ went viral in which he is enjoying a Turkish feast in Istanbul served to him by non-other than the country's top chef Burak Özdemir.


However,  before that back in 2018 fresh from his fight with McGregor, Khabib  got love from non-other than the cast of the popular TV show Diriliş: Ertuğrul.

 



According to reports, Khabib is a huge fan of the show and had longed to meet his favourite actors. Gracing the sets of the show during the shoot of it's fifth season, Khabib met and interacted with the actors including Ertugrul himself,  Engin Altan.



However far from being a casual viewer, Khabib was seen with other actors in addition to the cast and crew of the show. Cengiz Coşkun who plays Ertugrul's loyal companion, Turgut Alp also bonded with Khabib.



The entire set gave the UFC champion a hero's welcome with everyone lining up to take pictures with him. Emre üçtepe who essayed the role of Osman Ghazi, Ertugrul's youngest son also shared a moment with Khabib.



So did Celal Al who plays Abdur Rahman Alp, Ertugrul's trusted Alp who is the chief guard of Suleyman Shah.



The producer of the show Mehmet Bozdağ shared the photo he took with Khabib on his Instagram.
