The employees were suspended after forming an inquiry committee.
Two days ago, the Civil Defense District Administration and police personnel at the Agriculture University Chowk used electric shock sticks in a campaign launched to enforce the citizens to follow SOPs and use of face masks.
The Express Tribune and social media had raised their voices to the authorities.
As a result, Deputy Commissioner Ali took notice and suspended the four employees of Civil Defense including Ahmed Ali, Muhammad Imran, Yusuf Ali, and Qadeer Ahmed.
The DC also ordered to prepare a detailed report of the incident by appointing District Administration Officer Rana Abbas as an inquiry officer and sought a reply within three days.
Reportedly, the actions of the district administration were strongly criticised by the civil society and the citizens.
