CHAKWAL: A farmer was murdered by two armed men over a minor dispute on Wednesday. According to police officials, Ghulam Murtaza and Muhammad Amir were returning home after working in the fields when they reached the Sargodha bypass and Qurban Hussain and Liaqat Butt opened fire on them. Amir was killed on the spot and Murtaza was injured.

Police officials said that the incident occurred over a quarrel between the men a few months ago. Locals told police officials that the fight involved contested property.  Sub Inspector Ahmad Sher ordered an autopsy be conducted at District Headquarters hospital Chakwal. Police officials have registered a case against the accused and started an investigation.
