KARACHI:

The case of a missing 5-year-old girl caused a Sindh High Court (SHC) division bench led by Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Muhammad Tasnim to direct the SSP investigations to appear on August 10.

The bench heard a constitutional petition filed by her father, Muhammad Haleem, a resident of Moinabad Landhi, who claimed that his daughter Maryam, went missing from the house on April 7.

Haleem claims that he had lodged an FIR but the police did not seem interested in looking for her. He asked the court to direct the respondents, including the federal interior secretary, Sindh Home Secretary, IG Sindh, Sharafi Goth police station SHO and investigations officer to find his daughter.

The bench ordered pre-admission notices to be issued to the Deputy Attorney General and Sindh General Advocate for August 10.
