A total of 60 police officials, in three shifts, are to ensure the security of doctors and other staff members at the health facility.
"The SHO of the relevant police station will look after the security arrangements of the hospital," shared medical superintendent Dr Khadim Hussain Qureshi, adding that any complaint, including an FIR, could be filed at the reporting centre.
Meanwhile, Sindh Rangers have extended complete support to the hospital management, stating they would respond to any emergency within two minutes. On May 29, a mob had attacked the hospital's emergency ward over delays in handing over a patient's body. Following the incident, hospital employees had demanded security.
While a case was registered, no arrests have yet been made.
