Karachi violence: Peace to be restored at all costs, says Malik
Malik was speaking to the media after a meeting at the Crisis Management Cell in Karachi. The meeting, which discussed the situation in the city, was attended by Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Intepector General Sindh, Acting Director General Rangers and other high-ranking officials.

The interior minister, who was leaving for Islamabad, acknowledged Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain’s reservations and said action was being taken to restore peace in the city.
He said a number of people had been arrested and weapons recovered from the city.
MQM chief calls on people to ration food for a month
MQM chief Altaf Hussain, considering ongoing target killings and violence in Karachi, has called on the people to ration food for at least a month.
Hussain lashed out at the government and law enforcement agencies, and said that they have failed to control law and order in Karachi.

For better governance I request the president to make following changes: Faisal Raza Abidi should be the PM. Dr Zulfikar Mirza should be the Foreign Minister and Hina Rabbani Khar should be CM, Sindh. My suggestion may not appeal to some people but I'm sure the president will know the wisdom in it.
There is chess game, gamers are sitting around and playing, killing each other '' mooray'' including poor and innocent it is being done deliberately for more violence and unrest, so it needs crucial operation.
The question before is that, who is fit for such operation, I would say herein,Pak Armed Forces , it would remained long live.
That "at all costs" line is about as irresponsible as it gets. Yes, drastic measures should be permitted. But that wording is dangerous. The effort should have been taken to be a bit more exact. That effectively gives them shoot-on-sight permission, regardless of what is in their sights be it militant, fellow officer, children and other innocents. They technically are permitted to spray bullets in any direction without discrimination and are not required to use strategy at all. I'm not saying they shouldn't have a considerable amount of freedoms because of what is being dealt. It isn't a very common scenario, which can justify special measures. What I am saying is, instead of giving a media friendly one liner with high probability to backfire such as that, there could be some specific terms set which would not require a whole lot of effort. Even just some vague guidelines needing to be followed for judging who is or isn't a candidate for a bullet to the face would be enough.
Peace shall get restored after all the trash is thrown away from the top management!
