Ali Sethi releases a summer mix for his song 'Ishq'

Echoing nostalgia, the track is riveting to say the least

Prayers of all Ali Sethi fans looking for some heartwarming ballads with a Sethi touch have been answered as the singer released a remix of his iconic track Ishq.

Calling it an 'upbeat' version of one of his most popular songs, the singer took to Instagram to announce the news to his followers. He said, "I know I said we’d release the #DilLagaayein piano mix on Eid, but this happened first!"

Thrilled to be rendering his old tracks, Sethi also provided a background to explain why he did what he did with this one. "I’ve always wanted to make a more upbeat version of Ishq, something you can play on a long, sultry drive or while dancing (in your head!) with a deadly-beautiful beloved."

He credited Noah Georgeson for the mix and added, "I love the new beat, it makes me want to set out on a journey of some sort, and those violins are like spikes in my heart (in a good way!) Please welcome Ishq, summer mix."

Although Sethi's song seems promising, the time for a long summer drive may be difficult with all the blocked roads, not to mention, a dance with a beloved also seems far-fetched in this pandemic ridden world. But like he said, it is the perfect background music for a similar scenario in our imaginations.
