Govt concerned over SOPs violation: Buzdar
Says people should show responsibility during pandemic
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government had serious concerns over the violations of coronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in markets and bazaars on the eve of Eidul Fitr.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, he said the people should not avoid precautionary measures and show responsibility as their protection and security of their loved ones lies with abidance to the SOPs devised by the government against the pandemic.

The chief minister appealed to the citizens to celebrate Eidul Fitr while maintaining social distancing as today’s distance, for a short time period, will protect them from permanent social distancing in the future. “Precautionary and preventive measures as well as following of government SOPs will help them to deal with the coronavirus threat.”
Every step of the government was for the safety and protection of the people of the province, he maintained. “After the Eid holidays, the situation will be reviewed and more decisions will be taken.” In regards to the healthcare system, the chief minister remarked that the efforts and services of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, who were busy in the treatment of coronavirus patients during Eid, was appreciable.

The services of doctors and health professionals who spent Eid holidays working in hospitals with victims of the virus was unmatchable, he commented.
