K-P police fighting virus given over 4,600 PPE
Meeting reviews steps taken by K-P frontline force
PESHAWAR: A high level meeting held at the Peshawar Central Police Office on Saturday with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa IGP Dr Sanaullah Abbasi in chair reviewed the steps taken against Covid-19 during the last two months.
For security of police personnel, fighting as frontline force against coronavirus, 4,635 PPE suits, 92,121 masks, 20317 sanitisers, 50,688 gloves, 9,149 soap bars, 300 litre bleach and 500 litre disinfectants were provided.
The main purpose of the K-P police against Covid-19 was to ensure safety and security of the general public.
The meeting was informed that as per directives of the government, K-P police strictly implemented the instructions regarding lockdown in business centres, social distancing in religious gatherings as well as implemented government lockdown SOPs in this regard.
Besides this K-P police assisted the local administration in tracking and monitoring of Covid-19 patients coming from abroad and kept them in quarantine and isolation centres.
