‘Raids to continue against hoarding’

198,258 metric tonnes of wheat out of the total target 327,808 metric tonnes target had been purchased

MIANWALI: Sargodha Division Commissioner Dr Farah Masood directed the deputy commissioners of all four districts to continue the sequence of raids against hoarders and shifting the stored wheat at procurement centres despite Eid holidays.

She issued these directions while addressing a review meeting at Conference Hall regarding wheat procurement drive on Saturday. The meeting was attended by Mianwali DC Omar her Chattah, Sargodha DC Abdullah Nayyer, Khushab DC Musarrat, Bhakkar DC Syed Mosa Raza, ADCRs, Agriculture Director Faiz Ahamd Kundi and Food DD Arshed Wattoo.

The commissioner directed for inspecting all godowns, kinnow factories and other places in their respective districts adding that process of wheat procurement will be continued till to achieve the target. The meeting was told that 198,258 metric tonnes of wheat out of the total target 327,808 metric tonnes target had been purchased, which was 60.48% of the target.
