Yasir Hussain believes Turkish TV shows will destroy the industry

Twitter has clapped backed and called out the actor for his insecurity

After Shaan Shahid and Reema, actor Yasir Hussain has also raised his voice against the airing of popular Turkish television show Diriliş: Ertuğrul. In a recent Instagram story, Hussain has ranted on how airing Turkish TV shows could damage the local industry.

"PTV ko chaye hai kay woh eik tareekhi drama banaye aur apnay artists aur technicians ko use karey. Woh artist jo tax detey hein aur qabliat rakhtey hein. ( PTV should develop a historic TV show and use local artists and technicians. Those artists that give tax and have talent)," he said.

Adding on, " Landy kay kaprey aur Turkey kay dramay don't hi local industry tabah kar dengy. ( Both second hand clothes and Turkish dramas will both destroy the local industry)."

The Lahore Se Agey star then went on to equate the prominence of Turkish with any other local industry suddenly employing foreign employees at the expense of local ones. "

"Jab aap kay bhai ko bank se, bhen ko school se, aur Abu ko unki job sey nikaal k Turkish logon ko jobs dee jayeingi tu shahid aapko andaza hoga. ( When your brother , sister and father are fired from their jobs and Turkish people are hired instead then you'll understand what Iam saying )," he said.

People on social media, however, didn't buy into his argument and instead criticised him for making it a political issue.

Some went on to argue that his rant stemmed purely from jealousy with himself never actually producing a worthwhile show.
