The federal government is committed to providing resources for development work in Sindh, despite the financial crisis, said Sindh governor Imran Ismail during an online meeting with Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar on Saturday.

He told the federal minister that three newly-built flyovers at Sakhi Hassan Chowrangi, Five Star Chowrangi and KDA Chowrangi had helped a great deal in improving the flow of traffic in Karachi, adding that the completion of road infrastructure projects on Nishtar Road and Manghopir Road would further facilitate commuters in the city.

He lauded the federal government's efforts for improving infrastructure and ensuring the provision of basic facilities in Sindh even during these challenging times.

Earlier, Sindh Infrastructure Development Committee Limited head Saleh Farooqi briefed the meeting on the progress of ongoing development projects in the province.

Besides, the governor and federal minister discussed projects planned for the coming fiscal year in the province as well as the measures taken for the speedy completion of the ongoing projects.
