Two suspects killed in encounter

KARACHI: Two suspected criminals were killed in an encounter with Civil Lines Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in SITE Super Highway Industrial Area on Tuesday.

The incident took place as CTD personnel conducted a raid in Brohi Goth. As soon as the suspects saw CTD officials, they opened fire on them and two among them were killed in retaliatory firing. According to the CTD, the deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Ali Dost and 30-year-old Liaquat, and weapons, motorcycle, among other items, were found in their possession.

The deceased were accused of killing an intelligence agency official, Mushtaq Ahmed on February 21 last year.
