'Harry Potter' star Rupert Grint welcomes baby girl

Rupert welcomed the child with longtime partner, actor Georgia Groome

Rupert Grint who is famous for portraying Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise has been blessed with a baby girl with girlfriend Georgia Groome.

The couple announced the birth on Thursday, after confirming the pregnancy last month. "Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl," the couple's rep shared with E! News.

The news of their pregnancy broke last month when Groome, who was the star of 2008's Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, was spotted with a baby bump in London.

Having been linked for almost a decade now, the couple also sparked marriage rumours when Groome was spotted wearing a gold band on her ring finger.
