ISLAMABAD:

Officers in the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have decided to make the Officers Welfare Association functional to protect themselves against all sort of blackmailing from the state or private parties.

Recently, Islamabad police booked CDA Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi and other officers on ‘concocted’ allegations of stealing chairs and water cooler from PPP workers who had established a protest camp in the CDA directorate in G/7-2.

Elahi administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers of the CDA Officers Welfare Association here at Pak-China centre, said a press release.

Officers Welfare Association Chairman Mansoor Ahmed Khan said the officers’ body will aim to promote officers’ welfare and hoped the association will also work with zeal and devotion for the development and maintenance of city.
