
The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital, where the deceased were identified as Aurangzeb, his wife Shiza, and their one-year-old son Abdul Hadi.
The couple was reportedly asleep when the roof of their bedroom collapsed, resulting in their death.
According to residents of the building, children used to go to Aurangzeb's house for tuitions. When the children knocked on the door before Iftar as per their schedule, no one responded.

The residents added that later that evening, Shiza's sister visited the apartment to inquire about her sister's family, claiming that no one was answering her phone calls.
Out of suspicion, they called the police, who broke down the door and found the family dead under the debris of their roof.

The bodies were shifted to their hometown in Nawabshah for burial after the completion of medico-legal formalities.
According to a relative, Aurangzeb was an engineer by profession and had married Shiza two years ago. The apartment had been gifted to them by Shiza's father as a wedding present, he added.
