He shared a screenshot of Kanwal's Insta feed and wrote, "Congratulations Sadaf Kanwal" while marking the number of followers.
The two have clearly grown closer over time, however, their online support for each other may not be taken in good taste.
Recently Kanwal came under fire for wishing Sabzwari's mother by saying, "Happy Birthday Mama" in a comment under the picture he uploaded. The screenshot of the comment did several rounds as people continued to call her a 'home wrecker'.
Following this, actor and Kanwal's friend, Zara Noor Abbas, came under the limelight for defending her as she schooled netizens for making mountains out of molehills.
Abbas dragged the public and media alike for ‘wasting’ their time in turning a certain comment from a certain someone into national news. She tweeted, “Someone called someone’s mother ‘mama’ today and it became national news. Surprised to know we are all locked in Quarantine but guess didn’t lock our inner demons.”
Someone called someone's mother 'mama' today and it became national news. Surprised to know we are all locked in Quarantine but guess didn't lock our inner demons. You wasted 3 weeks of your life if you still thought this was the biggest news of the month! #LocktheGossip

Prior to this, the two were also subjected to criticism after a picture of them cycling together under lockdown surfaced. People could not help but justify their accusations with all the 'clues' they seemed to be finding since one of the industry's favourite couple broke apart.
However, both Sabzwari and Kanwal have refused to dating each other on several occasions earlier and are only "good friends."
