KARACHI: The Sindh government has taken notice of the violation of standard operating procedures at vegetable markets in the province, stated Sindh Agriculture Minister Ismail Rahoo on Sunday.

"Social distancing should be practiced in all the vegetable markets in Sindh and crowds should be avoided as this could cause the virus to spread," maintained the minister.

He added that citizens should not be allowed to enter vegetable markets in Karachi without face masks, further stating that the markets themselves should be fumigated and sanitisers should be provided.

Rahoo also directed the chairpersons of all vegetable markets in Hyderabad, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta and other areas to ensure the implementation of the Sindh government's orders, warning that the markets may otherwise be closed.
