Police arrest 1,403 suspects

FAISALABAD: Patrolling police registered 1,252 cases and arrested 1,403 criminals since the start of the current year in the Faisalabad region.

SSP Patrolling Farooq Ahmad Hundal issued the performance report for January 1 to April 30, 2020.

While talking to the media, Hundal stated that 16 Kalashnikovs, five rifles of 223 bore, three rifles of 222 bore, three rifles of 7mm, 18 rifles of 12 bore, 54 pistols of 30 bore and four pistols of 9mm with 1,725 bullets and 131 magazines were seized.

During the period, eight buffaloes were recovered from thieves.

As many as 68 wanted offenders were arrested. In all, 923 litres of liquor, six kilogrammes of hashish and 119 grammes of heroin were seized.

Moreover, 11 missing children were traced and reunited with their families. As many as 4,729 commuters were helped in need by the police.

A total of 97 encroachments were removed to ensure free flow of traffic and 2,022 motorcycles were impounded on various charges.
