The district and sessions court was hearing the case, in which the complainant, PPP worker Khalid Jutt, had accused Sheikh and three others of abducting and torturing him.
The case was registered at the Kunri police station in December 2019.
All four accused were declared absconders after failing to appear in court repeatedly.
Sheikh, who is also PTI's parliamentary leader in the Sindh Assembly, had visited Kunri on November 1, 2019, to attend the funeral prayers victims of the Tezgam Express inferno.
At the time, his convoy was attacked by a group of people throwing stones. Sheikh had claimed that the culprits were the associates of PPP MPA Nawab Taimur Talpur.
