The programme, titled ‘Voice of AIOU’, includes ‘Tilwat-e-Quran’ and talks about ‘Fazeyle Quran’. Dr Abdul Basit Mujahid from AIOU’s History Department recited a chapter from the Holy Quraan at 3 pm, along with its interpretation.
Besides this, an hour-long talk on Islamic History, Islamic studies and contemporary Islamic thoughts takes place daily at 11am.
FM Radio Incharge Irfan Ansari said that the talks also cover relevant academic courses for university students.
The programme’s participants highlight the importance of the holy month and its message, with special reference to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
As per directions of AIOU Vice-Chancellor Dr Ziaul Qayyum, online academic-related programmes are also arranged with the participation of the university’s regional offices on a daily basis, he added.
