Liquor, counterfeit engine oil seized

Two 30-litre drums filled with alcohol, over 1,000 empty bottles, labels, and different flavours

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi police on Saturday raided a liquor factory and also seized a truck for supplying counterfeit engine oil.

Rawal SP Mazhar Iqbal informed the City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younus that a patrol party of Saddar police station stopped a car during snap checking and recovered as many as 24 liquor bottles from the driver identified as Mazhar.

Later, during the investigation the suspect revealed about home-brewing liquor factory. Upon the information, the police teams carried out a raid and recovered huge quantity of liquor, two 30-litre drums filled with alcohol, over 1,000 empty bottles, labels, and different flavours.
