Horns blared as cars struggled to navigate the packed, narrow lanes of the city, particularly on Murree Road, Mall Road and other key thoroughfares.
The sight threw caution whether a lockdown had ever been imposed in the city. The main commercial markets in the city, however, remained closed for the 31st consecutive day. Business activity in the fruit and vegetable markets, however, was higher than normal with Ramazan expected to commence over the weekend.
