Three bike lifters among four suspects arrested

Police also recover stolen motorcycles from their possession

ISLAMABAD: Capital police claimed to have arrested four suspects including three motorbike thieves and recovered two stolen bikes and heroin from them, a police spokesman said.

According to the spokesman, Investigation SP Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted special teams under supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Sub-Inspector Tariq Rauf, ASIs Zulfqar Ali, Fawad Khalid, Sargul Khan along with others officials which successfully arrested two suspects involved in bike lifting and drug dealing.

The suspects have been identified as Sher Muhammad, a resident of Dhoke Kokarain Islamabad and Faizan Shafique, resident of Dhoke Chudhain Rawalpind.

Police team also recovered a stolen bike and 1.25Kg heroin from their possession.

During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in incidents of bike lifting and drug pushing in areas of Golra and Kohsar police stations areas.

Furthermore SP (Saddar) Muhammad Omer Khan constituted special teams under supervision of SDPO Khalid Mehmood Awan including SHO Tarnol Police Station Inspector Arshad Ali, ASI Muhammad Ishaq along with other officials. Police team arrested Hamza Nawzish and Haider Liaqat Ali resident of Loser Sherfoo Wah Cannt Rawalpindi and recovered a motorbike  from their possession.

Case has been registered against them and further investigation is under way.

IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG Operations Waqar uddin Syed have appreciated the overall performance of Police teams and announced commendation certificates along with cash rewards for policemen who arrested these criminals.
