Fighting terror: TTP added to UN sanctions list
The adding of the Tehrik-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group to the sanctions list also comes as the UNSC eases pressure on the Afghan Taliban in a bid to encourage it to join peace moves in Afghanistan.
The Pakistan Taliban has been blamed for attacks that have left hundreds dead in Pakistan but also been linked to an attempted bombing in Times Square, New York last year.
Britain's UN ambassador Mark Lyall Grant welcomed the addition of the Pakistan Taliban to counter-terrorism list, a moved which has been backed by the Pakistan government.
"It sends a powerful signal of the international community's solidarity and resolve in the fight against the TTP and international terrorism," Lyall Grant said in a statement.

To those who say the sanctions are irrelevant, you're not wrong. However, it's the media that decides what is news worthy. To the UN it probably amounts to formalities, not something special that they expect people to celebrate while patting themselves on the back and receiving praise.
Long Live Taliban ... Death to Seculars
UN sanctions have little impact on terrorists organisations, who change their organisation's names and their funding is rarely disrupted with one exception ie Al Qaida, who was constantly hunted by the Americans for their own cause. As per Western analysts, TTP along with other sectarian outfits based in Pakistan are receiving funds from Middle East countries and their major donor is Saudi Arabia.
Counter-gang TTP after so many killings and destruction make its way to sanction list. This shows you who were backing them up.
What should we say, one more medal Pakistan bags on international level ?

Chief Justice Iftakhar should declare the UN order as illegal and of no legal effect. While Raiwind wala's are paying stipend to terrorists, CJ should show that he values partnership with terrorists.
Yes, all the TTP foreign accounts will be frozen. They will not be able to open LOC. They will not be able to travel internationally. They cannot buy or sell any stocks/bonds. They will not be given new IMF loans. The interests rates on their existing loans will be jacked-up. What a meaningless action is this... :->

But Imran Khan thinks they are just innocent bystanders. I'm confused. I thought he was the only honest leader in Pakistan. Now my hopes are ruined.
