Playing with emotions

RAWALKOT, AZAD KASHMIR: Kyrgyzstan’s ethnic riots disrupted the studies of nearly 256 Pakistani students. Unfortunately, one student, Ali Raza, died during the riots.

However, I feel that the issue of his death was not dealt with sensitivity by the electronic media. A private TV channel unfairly put Ali Raza’s mother on the spot by asking for her feelings about her young son’s death in a live news bulletin. I’m shocked by the way the electronic media likes to sensationalise everything and play with people’s emotions. I appeal to the management of private TV channels to make appropriate rules to deal with sensitive situations.
