Nurses to receive Rs10,000 in health allowance

The government also recently announced health professional allowance and risk allowance for healthcare staff

QUETTA/ PESHAWAR: Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan of Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Monday approved health professional allowance for staff nurses of Grade 16 to Grade 19 that are working in the province.

He approved the summary pertaining to the allowances of staff nurses forwarded by the provincial health department. As per the summary, 1,000 nurses of Grade 16 to 19 will receive 10,000 rupees per month. This newly approved allowance will cost the government 180 million rupees annually.

It is pertinent to note that the government also recently announced health professional allowance and risk allowance for healthcare staff and paramedics as well. On the other hand, the CM assigned provincial ministers and advisers to formally visit all divisions of the province to review preventive measures against the prevailing coronavirus.

Provincial ministers and advisers will also overlook arrangements of food security and distribution of ration, according to the official statement. Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khethran, Noor Mohammad Dummar will visit Sibi division, while Mir Zahoor Buledi will pay a visit to Makran division.
