Police arrest two ‘fake’ PM’s tiger force officers

The accused managed to collect women’s CNIC copies and other confidential information under the pretext of aid

FAISALABAD: Police claimed to have arrested two impersonators who presented themselves as officers of the Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Tiger Force while his two accomplices managed to escape on Friday.

According to details obtained by The Express Tribune, a case was filed by Saddar Assistant Commissioner (AC) Umar Maqbool in which four people including Amanat Ali, resident of Chak No 243RB and Mohammad Amjad, resident of Chak No 28 GB, scammed citizens into believing that they were members of the PM's Tiger Force.

The accused managed to collect women’s Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) copies and other confidential information under the pretext of aid. They baited the public through announcements in the mosques.

The AC received a call complaining about the accused. Dijkot police arrested two of the culprits and initiated search for the absconders.
