Peshawar operations: Emirates completes 13 years

KARACHI: Emirates airline has announced that it has achieved a milestone by completing 13 years of operations in Peshawar this month. Emirates, which currently operates two weekly flights to Peshawar, started flying to the city on July 14, 1988, marking the 48th destination of the airline, said a press release. Over the course of its operations to Peshawar, Emirates said it has made significant investments in infrastructure of the station. It has strengthened the airport runway, developed a new taxi-way as well as an apron for aircraft parking. This, Emirates said, has enabled the airline to operate bigger aircraft such as A330-200 in 2004 and B777-200 in 2009 to cater to the growing passenger demand. PRESS RELEASE
