QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has vowed that there will be no shortage of food during the prevailing coronavirus crisis as he reviewed the government’s mechanism pertaining to the distribution of ration and food amongst the poor.

The Food and Assistance Package Committees briefed CM Aliyani regarding the plans to commence ration and food distribution amongst the poor and daily wagers as he chaired a food security meeting on Thursday.

The meeting decided to embark upon ration distribution through volunteers and welfare organisations in the first phase after making contact with the federal government to purchase wheat and food items for Balochistan.

Addressing the meeting, CM Aliyani directed the aforementioned committees to collect the data of poor families and daily wagers on a priority basis without any delay.
