A woman was deprived of Rs70,000 as she withdrew cash from a bank on Tuesday. Sameen Akhtar told the police that she had withdrawn Rs70,000 from a bank at Churh Chowk, when two men came and sat next to her. They asked her to check whether the notes she received were authentic or not, as there was a possibility that she had received fake notes. She said the men offered to check the notes for her. However, as soon as she gave them the money they ran away.
