Indonesia offers IIUI support

ISLAMABAD: The Indonesian embassy in Islamabad on Friday offered support to the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) for its students studying there.

This was offered as a security delegation from the Indonesian Embassy, comprising Defence Attache Col Dody Mukhtar Taufik and other senior officials, visited the varsity on Friday.

The delegation met with IIUI’s acting president Dr Aqdas Naveed Malik and appreciated the efforts of the university in maintaining a secure and conducive environment for all foreign students studying there, particularly the Indonesian students who are living in IIUI’s hostels. The delegation further assured of their confidence in IIUI and also assured to extend any support for their students.

Dr Malik appreciated the support of the Indonesian embassy for its students. He expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian ambassador and prayed to keep all safe and give the courage to overcome the present situation.

Provost Dr Ibrar Anver, academics director and Syed Naveed Ehtesham were also present.
