Hesco seizes illegal transformer

HYDERABAD: A team of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) carried out a raid at agricultural land near the Miani forest and seized an illegal transformer of 15kv.

The transformer was set up on the land of Maula Bux Mashoori and was being used to power a tube well. During the operation, the team also impounded illegal electric wires and wrote a letter to Hatri Police Station, asking them to file a case. However, no case has been filed as yet.

Meanwhile, a team headed by the manager operation circle, Dadu, Ghulam Hussain Samo, also carried out surprise checks at other places in the Mehar subdivision, including Mansoor colony, Hajan Shah colony, Shahbaz colony, Radhan colony, Beto Jatoi road and Barrage colony road. The team removed 1,400 illegal kundas and took electric wires, which weighed 9 maunds, into possession.

In a separate case, the SDO operation of the Allama Iqbal subdivision, Tahir Habib, has been removed from his post by the Hesco chief for negligence of duty. Tajmal Baig has been appointed in his place.
