Addressing the media, he said the entire world was going through a difficult time and all were affected by the ordeal. Speaking with regards to temporary shut of business, he expressed concern for daily wage workers, saying it would be difficult for them to make ends meet in such a situation.

He said that he had met the Sindh chief minister to discuss the matter and had agreed to support the government in dealing with the crisis. "Distribution of food items is a part of that commitment," he said, also urging other philanthropists to work in this regard.
In light of this development, Saylani Dastarkhwan had been suspended and Roti Banks had been set up, where all citizens would be able to get rotis, he informed media persons.
"Industries, mosques, educational institutes and other places have been closed and Khana-e-Kaaba and Madina present a deserted picture," he lamented, advising people to pray for the end of the crisis and take all necessary measures to curb the virus spread. He pointed out that not maintaining proper hygiene was one of the primary causes of the diseases and stressed staying and keeping one's surroundings clean.
