ISLAMABAD:
Fasi Zaka’s article, “I never really cared for Ahmadis,” (June 12) is a commendable piece of work. I believe all Pakistanis are equal and discrimination on any grounds is unwarranted. It’s a shame that divisions across the world, not just in Pakistan, are based on the grounds of religion, ethnicity, and political affiliation.
Whether we regard Ahmadis as Muslims or not is a different debate. The solution to divisions in our society is best highlighted in the Holy Quran, where the instruction is to “Come to common terms, as between us and you, that we worship none but Allah …”
