MUZAFFARABAD: The newly elected legislators took an oath to office and elected speaker and deputy speaker of the Azad Kashmir Assembly on Monday. 46 recently elected members of the legislative assembly took the oath in the session chaired by outgoing speaker Choudhary Anwar-ul-Haq while two legislators of Muslim League-N Raja Farooq Haider Khan and Choudhary Tariq Farooq refrained from the oath taking ceremony. PPP’s Sardar Ghulam Sadiq was elected as speaker while Shaheen Dar was chosen as deputy speaker of the assembly.
